go to tint shop ask for better quality tint. cheap tint = bubbles. |
Well, give it another week. I had the same problem when I had mine tinted, just hadn't fully dried yet. If is still there after another week or two go back and have them look at it and ask for them to re-du that window.

i really should have discussed the warranty type issues with the shop, i would assume i have one based on what ive heard from other people who have gotten theirs there, but i dont know for sure...
there are only 2 bubbles, and they are both very small, about the size of a small nail head or so. could i try poking a small hole? or would that just make things even worse. |

i might swing by there sometime in the next couple days, i dont know why it wouldnt be dried out by now, it is in a somewhat remote location, you can barely see it with the windows up, in fact i didnt notice it till i rolled them down.

I had the same situation with my window tint which is chrome green, as i was told it took mine afew weeks before it actually dried out, i questioned it but they told me glass is sometimes imperfect and where the bubble was is a dip in the glass, they ended up slicing is with a razor and flatened it out and its good to go, if your lucky itll dry out if not they may do the slice make sure you dont poke a pinhole, itll stand out like a sore ass, i highly doubt youll have to get the whole window redone for two little bubbles if its a professional place theyll know what to do, good luck

Most bubbles will work themselves out. The film they use is actually pourus, and if there's small amounts of moisture they can take a while to permeate the tint. Most common cause of bubbles is dust. It's very hard to keep a dust-free environment to tint in, so you're generally always going to get a couple small ones, unless you had your tint done in a real clean-room environment. Squeegee'ing out the water only takes out so much, some may still stay behind.
But, yea, if it's been cold, it takes longer to dry. |
i noticed they were a little smaller today, and it hasnt been too horribly warm, 50s and 60s mostly, and cloudy, and the location doesnt see very much sun because its so high up on the window.
