lookie lookie...i got a new shifty

Well i get home and there is a box on the counter and it says to me, so i open it and find my shifter (Thanks again Bill) YAY! so first thing i do is clean it. Then out to the car...but not before grabing the camera and being criticized on how i take thousands of pictures of nothing, so my brotehr says how many are you going to take this time, and i said one before and two after...and he says no you'll probably take like 26 pictures of it...

so i get in the car and i take one picture of the before, and i gave him the camera to hold it, and he says i'll just take your place...as soon as i get the old one off and the new one is coming he snaps away...but anyway...

Heres my before shot:

After:

My brother ended up just short of what he said i would take by 3 he took 23 pictures (which actually came out to 26 when you add my 3 but only a few turned out decent and just a few less im gonna post:

And i cant get the Boot to come up higher, there is enough boot to go maybe another inch or two but the stitching on the inside of the boot is holding it back from going higher...

and one more question, what is the extra button for, what did it do from the factory? and for future reference, will it just plug in(i doubt it but its worth asking)?

and again, thanks Bill

That'* the "fire" button.

Actually, probably for overdrive disable. Seen that on a lot of vehicles, like... my WJ.

well as far as the TC Pod goes...the buttons are just sitting there, they are all functional as in you can push 'em but they arn't connected to anything, im working on that though, as i just got a soldering iron to get the circuit inside to work with the lLED'* and then i can wire it up, i have both connectors though, one for my model year and the one after (or at least i think i do, as i have 2 differnt kinds)

and as for the extra button, im thinking highbeam flasher, or...something... lol, probably not but i'll rig it up eventually

Use the extra button for Nitrous, duh.

I can make you a custom boot if you want, it will cover the base of that shifter, OR you could find a boot from a Grand Am that fits that style shift ****.

Can't use it for nitrous. There'* no flip-up lever, and annoying "NOS" emblem on it. Oh, and no blue LED or neon on it.

It'll have to be a fire button.

You need the boot out of a 94/95 in order to come father up. The 92/93 cars with the T-hanlde shifter don't cross back and forth well because of this.

When I converted my 93 to the 2000 shifter, I made my own boot. It'* posted around here somewhere. I intend to do the same for the 95 sometime. It'* already converted to a 2k shifter. Just no boot upgrade yet.

(The boot on a 2k shifter actually comes up and over the lower part of the shifter handle).
