its a long shot and will NOT happen for at least a couple years (along with everything else i plan for my car ) but im going to be atending UTI for the collision repair and auto refinishing program they have there in another year (hook ups with mercedes...hecks ya!) ne ways Ill learn to do all crazy sorts of body and frame work so i was thinken one day...how cool would it be to make my bonnie a convertable, i havent worked out any details yet other than thinking about possible setups, support compensation and such. (i have no idea how it would work) but its still a possibility...a dangerous one if sumthing goes wrong and id have to work out supporting the body but itd be purty sweet...

I just don't think it would look right. I don't like convertibles anyways, but the Bonneville is just not a car I'd chop the top off. It would be cool to learn and have a custom car to be proud of, though. I think a coupe car would look better as a convertible. better yet, make a Bonneville coupe.

I think I could see a convertible '00+ Bonneville, but not the earlier styles. But yeah, I'm not sure about a four door convertible.

those could probly be cut off with the rest, id have to be careful about the window track tho....idk if conv. hav different window setups?----is that wat u wer talkin about, the door frame?

, but like i said, supprt is the biggest prob. i always figured i could take out the back dash to fold down the top but theres no way id have a soft top...itd have to be a hard top...then were talken big $$ and alot of time and recource...but itd be cool

I have thought about this also

somewhere on here, I swear that I seen some pics of a 2000+ convertable bonneville. they made it a two door, it looked pretty sweet. I believe that there was two of them also.

I have been searching for about 5 minutes now to find them, but no luck. maybe I am just losing my mind

how would u do that, did they shorten the frame at all or just put in side panels instead of doors?

I'm not really sure how it was done, it was a while ago, and my memory of it is a little foggy :?
