Best Engine degreaser?
My apologies if this is a repost. I used some auto store brand degreaser to clean the engine compartment before I began my recent repairs, then I degreased individual components before reassembly. This stuff didnt seem to cut as good as I thought a degreaser should. Also, some of you have BEAUTIFUL engine compartments! How extreme do you go to get them to look that way?

Heavy crap, use the gunk. Better than simple green or citrus? The generic Kirkland (Costco) degreaser (looks like green anti-freeze). I've used all 3, and that Costco stuff is the best by far.

yeah if I can get my engine compartment to look half as good as Wren'*, I would be displaying the results on cruise nite LOL
sadly, we dont have a Costco here. I will try some different stuff when I get a chance, Simple Green and Gunk too, see what happens. It looks GOOD right now, however the block itself looks like junk under all the accessories. I cleaned everything as it went back in, wanted to paint some stuff but Mrs Crzydmnd was rushing me to get it reassembled so she could drive "Painted parts doesnt make it go , Just hurry up
