Default What to use on Tires

To give it that wet look after you've cleaned them? I've done a search since I'm sure this topic has already been covered but couldn't find an answer.

Anyone?

Frank -

Just visit your local auto parts store, they should have at least 5+ varities of tire shine to use, I usually go with a NON-Wipeoff kind, the spray on and let it sit. its brainless.

Be sure to wipe any excess foam off the wheels when you spray

I usually get some wheel cleaner and spray that down then wash them and then do the tires.

the shine wont last that long, I notice depending if it rains or snows or not, it lasts a week or two and I've tried several different brands/kinds. I usually just go with the cheapest or whatever is on sale.

There are a lot of products at stores such as auto zone. I haven't done a comparison between all of them but they seem to be pretty similar to each other.

The very best for tires is Meguiars Endurance High Gloss. It does not turn brown.and it last thru two maybe three washes.I would not use any thing else.

I have used various foam type like Armour all and I have used the spray type also, but when I was at a Bonneville Meet in Niagra Falls last year there was a member that has a very wet and shinny look to his tires that I've never seen before. I sometimes use the foam and then wipe with armour all and it still didn't have that wet look like I saw on these tire, and no I don't remember the forum member. I think it may have been Gonneville or something.

In my experience, the spray-on tire foams are completely useless garbage. They don't last long, and you don't get much in a can.

Tire gels are where it'* at. I just bought a bottle of this:

I haven't tried it yet, but it comes very highly recommended. It'* expensive, but you get quite a bit in the bottle.

I have the foam but it seems to go every where. You put Endurance on with a small
foam pad. You can buy the pads at Advanced Auto Parts. They
are curved to fit the side wall of the tire. Oh and they are cheap. It goes where you want it to. It is kind of messy but when you're cleaning up you're Bonneville who cares.
