Price Range For A DECENT Paint Job?
Was wondering how much it would cost to basically have my car stripped down to nothing and painted. Takling engine out, trans out, interior out and all the rust repaired and painted.
I'm thinking it might be cheaper to just strip it down myself and do it but its cold and quite frankly my car is not fixed because of me hating the cold :P

even doing all the work of taking the powerplant and interior out, you are looking at $4-5k for a decent job.
the big question is, is a 15 year old car worth that much to you?

Its a learning car for me so Im thinking of just doing it myself. It has sentimental value and I have a habit of never getting rid of anything....ever. I just want to fix something up all nice a pretty and make it one of a kind
EDIT: Besides I'll never own a new car with my credit thanks to an unfaithful wife when I went into the Army who jerked me so I have to make due with what I got :(

If you're thinking about doing it yourself, PM K-Otik. He'* done some amazing work in the past, and he did it all in his garage...

Ok thanks. Hopefully I get a response because I am just gonna rent a garage or build an enclosure around my parking pad. Hopefully the landlord doesn't get too pissy
