Replacing Parts from the Junkyard

I've got a 96 Bonne SE and the passenger side fender got pretty well crushed in a parking garage. I figure it would be easier just to pull the whole panel and replace it rather than trying to clean it up and repair it. Nearest scrapyard has a 98, 97 and four 95s on the lot but no 96s. Body styles look similar but how do I know what parts are interchangable and which aren't?

So the quick question is, will any of the fenders off the 95, 97 or 98 fit my 96? The bigger question is...is there someplace I can use as a reference to determine what other parts are interchangeable and which aren't?

96,97,98,99 are the same body. The 95 was the older design. I had to get a fender off a 96 for my 97. Hope this helps ya.

yeah, you'll be fine with 96-99 on most parts related to the body. Engine for he most part, and trans is a little more specific.

Sweet...that's what I needed to know. Thanks!

One more thing. The bumpers and body molding are different between SLE, SSE, SSEi and the SE. The rest should be usable. There are some minor changes to some mounting tabs on the doors too I believe, but not an issue if painting. if you can stick with the same trim level, you shouldn't have an issue.
