Removing swirls in paint
When I bought my car I noticed the drivers side of the hood was covered in swirls. Just that half too. I assume somebody was using a machine to wax/polish it and didn't know what they were doing. My question is, does anybody know a way to remove this type of swirl without a machine. I do not have access to one but would like to get both sides of the hood looking the same. I would take pictures but the swirls dont show up on the white paint. Thanks

I've heard Meguiars ScratchX works pretty good, but takes a lot of time by hand.

I have good luck with this stuff.
They make it for LIGHT and DARK cars. It gets the fingernail marks off the underside of the door handles too. http://webpages.charter.net/koetts/swirlmark.jpg |
hmmm I may just have to try that. I've never seen it before.

The 3M product works well. I have some that I used to use on my black 95. You should be able to find it at most larger GM dealerships.
