Rear Lights and Rear Fascia
One of the rear lights on my car has a small crack, and thusly is now seriously fogged up. I was going to just replace them with factory versions of the same kind, but got to wondering. Would SSEi rear lights of the same year fit? I very much like those lights over my stock SE ones.
Also, what are the odds that the SSEi rear fascia will fit up to my SE's bumper without any problems? I really like the lower look to it, balances out the bottom of the car in my opinion, creating a somewhat straight line along the bottom profile, whereas the SE kinda curves up toward the rear (in profile). Heck, while we are at it, what are the odds that all the factory fascias will fit? I really like the look of the SSEi, but when I was buying my car, there were none for sale for about 200 miles, and I wasn't willing to go that far for a car. |
Yes...any 92-95 SSEI tailights should fit the 92-95 SE's
The fascia may would probably also just bolt up, but I am not 100% sure. You would also have the exhaust cut-outs to deal with. |

Who knows, I may alter it a bit while I am at it (nothing drastic of course). I have a friend who is pretty proficient with fiberglass molding for cars. |

bumber covers should fit right up but all the dor trim is a different story you can see the pegs that hold on the moldings in this pic....
Attachment 72917 the problem is, is that there are pegs that run along the bottom of the door that are not on the se trim cars so you would have to drill and screw in some screws to replace the pegs |
soatari..I saw your replies in the "For Sale" section...be advised that the SSEi front bumper cover requires the SSEi grill and grill surronds (at least)...I think the basic hood is the same but the grill and surround is shallower than an SE.

I do belive the grill is a litle different.
Attachment 72916 Grill on my SSEi, thin honey come type set up, most SE, SLE's have thick honey combs. https://i10.ebayimg.com/02/a/05/4c/da/35_1.JPG only visible difference is the chrome trim? Other than maybe its bigger? |
Grilles are different HEIGHTS. The SE/SLE front bumper has a 'dishout' to allow for a taller grille insert. The SSEi/SSE insert is not as tall and will leave an UGLY gap on an SE/SLE if installed.
The front and rear fascias are also 'blended' and designed to coordinate with the side/rocker/door cladding. |
