I bought some pads that you put on your drill & add some water. They work wonders.
Since the crack marks where deep, first I sanded with 340, then 800, 1000, 2000, & then used the pads.
In person the diffrence is more noticeable.

Maybe I'll try to revive mine before I go new! Those look nice.
Most of the faded look on the headlights and foglights comes from 'road rash' and tiny chips on the outside of the lenses too, not just interior heat cracks.
Alexcoqui, so what pads were these exactly? And you just used water in addition to the sandpaper?

OK, its a black box that I got at Advance. They have it for glass too, but those thont work or I didnt use those right. :?
Anyway, I used water with a little soap for the sanding. Then rinced with clean water & applied the pads.
The cracks where on the outside & were kind of deep. I started with 800 & was having trouble getting rid of the cracks. So I went down to 340 & that worked.
When I get home Ill check the name of the pads & let you guys know tomorrow.

you should cover them with the 3M clear HL film. that way when the film gets bad you can just replace the film and not have to sand them again.
