GM Paint Chip Repair Kit - Yes or No ?
As some of you may know, my front end is full of nasty paint chips from these lovely Michigan freeways. I'm going to get my hood professionally repainted in the late spring or summer this year, but I want to see if I can touch up the bumper myself.
I read an old thread on CGP about a GM Paint Chip Repair Kit. It comes with everything I will need, minus the actual paint.
Here is the thread with info on it: http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.asp?m=2048433
I'm a n00b when it comes to paint, but I think I would be able to tackle a project like this. The kit is only about 10 bucks, and the paint shouldn't be that much.
Has anyone ever used something like this or does anyone have any other ideas for touching up lots of bumper chips?

Maybe I will give it a try. I'll be going home in a few weeks and I can borrow the garage for a while. Even if I don't get the whole bumper done, I'll try a few spots and see how the results are.

There was a reference to a lanka kit. The Lanka kit works well. Mothers has a kit that works just as well as the Lanka but cost less. I use the Mothers kit and achieved decent results.
The hardest part is waiting for the paint to dry.
The GM kit looks super and cost $10.00. I would buy it just to have another weapon in my detailing arsenal.

Looks like I won't be trying it. I am going to get a good deal on my hood repainting, and I'm going to get the bumper done with it. It will all be done professionally.
