just curious to see if anyone has ever polished either the outer lip, or the entire rim of a set of cross lace wheels??

I did a search and didn't really turn up anything..

I am just curious, because I have a spare set of gold cross lace rims from my parts car that I might toy around with

out of the eight cross lace rims that I have, only one of them is in really good shape with no corrosion on it at all.

I do realize that polishing the ENTIRE rim would be an extremly long and laboring undertaking, but with a full set of extra rims, time is on my side

let me know what you think about the whole rim, or just the outer lip

I'm thinking outter lip. Someone restored a set of rims and sold them. I forget..but they looked great.

If you had something you could put the wheel on and have it turn..that would speed up the restoring process.

I have seen some TGP and some pre-gen GP guys do it before on the 16x8 crosslaces.
