Default Tinted Windows - Cleaning...

Ok so this is my first car with tinted windows... I would like to know what should be used to clean the inside of the windows. Can RainX Anti-Fog be used? Is windex preferred for cleaning the tint?

Let me know

Damp terry cloth is all you should need. Follow with a dry terry cloth to remove streaks.

Ok so anything windex (or amonia based) is out. Well then, I was using the Foaming Windex cleaner with Amonia-D on my Intrepid windows. That stuff worked great.

So Gunk Foaming Glass cleaner is Tint safe. Now what kind of a cloth would you recommend? I have many terry cloth towels as well as some flannel type towels that I use for detailing... Would these work? Generally, the flannel towels aren't all that good at absorbing...

How about the RainX Anti-fog? I noticed that my rear windows get fogged up pretty good when it'* raining outside...

I wouldn't even bother if you have to ask if it is safe. I used to use water and sometimes a bit a dish soap.

I know that the tinting place used the winter windshield washer fluid to clean my windows before they started tinting since it does not contain ammonia in it. So maybe you could give that a try. I figure if a tint chop was using it it can't be all that bad, hehe.

The newspaper trick works great on any window for a clean streat free finish. Just make sure that the ink doens't run on the newspaper you use.
