ya so i went to the store today to get some paint mixed up for my car...have to fix a few rust spots well ne way i could not find the paint code....i looked under the hood on the door jams and in the truck and could not find them could someone tell me were to look

On the spare tire cover (RPO label) under the trunk carpeting. At the bottom of the label.

alright i will go check it out...and another thing im fixing a little rust on both rear fenders right above the tires ....when i repaint it will it be close to color or very noticable

ok so i called and got the price on some paint but .....the guy was telling me there is three differnt steps i must take in the clear coat stage? almost like a clear coat primer...then clear coat and then a clear coat protectant...is this true becuase that got quiet expensive in a hurry

NO.. Just base coat and clear coat. In a small nutshell...apply primer, sand, color coat, apply a few coats of clear, sand, finish w/ rubbing compound. There's more sanding to be done in between, that's just a quick list.

Clear coat protectant would be called wax. :lol:
