Default Transfer paint Removal

What would be the best way to remove transfer paint? My wife managed to sideswipe a fence, and got some pressed on paint down the side of my car.

Right in front of the tire here (and you can see the hole in the rocker she put there from a curb):

And on the front, too.

Should I buff it out? Claybar? Sandpaper (just kidding on that one)?

Various compounds from Heavy Polishing up to a rubbing compound will be a good first bet. If it hasn't gone through to the primer base, you should be ok.

Light compound and a buffer would be my plan of attack.

Holy crap! Why didn't she move away from the fence when it first hit the front? I would try a clay bar first. But as others said, I'm sure polishing will be required anyway since there is sure to be scratches beneath the paint.

I would use a claybar first myself. Peter is the expert so you cannot go wrong with his advise.

FYI, My wife has the same problem. She very rarely gets to drive the Bonneville. You should see her side of the garage, all beat up. However she does drive a Montana van.
