Default Leather Cleaner

Is this a good leather cleaner? I am using it now and it seems to do the job ok. I am trying to keep my seats from cracking and faiding and all of that horrible stuff. My primary question is I use it on my seats about once a month, is that too often?[/url]

Megs works but I like Leatherique better. This is just my preference.

With heated seats you should do at least 4 treatments a year. The heating element really dries out the leather.

Megs always gives good results, they have both cleaner, and conditioners, I usually use the separate bottles like a 2 step process, all good stuff

I've done mine twice since I got the truck. They'd never been done before, so it was QUITE dry and starting to wear HORRIBLY on the edges. I've relieved alot of the stress creases and softened them significantly. Also, I keep sheepskin covers on the front seats for extra protection.

I recommend Lexol-pH cleaner and Lexol Conditioner.

Be sure to clean them, its an important step.

This is VERY important. The cracks and crevices of leather will gather dirt. The combination of the dirt and moisture (even just high humidity) facilitates the growth of micro-organisms. These little unseen buggers get hungry and the leather is a perfect food. A few lunchtime'* and dinnertime'* later and your leather is now weakened and cracks and splits begin.

Like was stated before....cleaning is an important step.
