Plastic-x
This stuff is made by Meguiars and I think it works wonders.
Today I washed my car and my sad stock foglights were looking a mess with a hazy and pitted finnish. So I took my orbital buffer and small pad, applied a bit of plastic-x and rubbed them for a few minutes reappling when needed.
I brought years back to the old fogs and got out most of the scratches with only the major rock dents left behind. They are much brighter now too.
This stuff is available all over and it works.

Yup, that stuff works wonders, even when applied by hand. I use it on my tail lights. Also, it works great on the Gage cluster cover!

It'* a plastic polich. Don't know if it would have any affect on glass. On the same account, tho, I doubt it would do any damage either. Remember, test run on something that won't hurt.....

Hmmmm, never heard of that before! Learning all the time....
Wonder why they'd do that, tho? Seems like they'd get damaged a lot easier, like our fogs do.
Test run still applies, but I bet it'd help a lot.
