tar removal?
how can i get tar off my rims, mudflaps, fender wells, etc....
the sprayer truck was in the left lane of a 2 lane road....i was in the right....half the right lane was blocked...the left side of my car is covered from having to drive in the oh so fresh left lane.....eeesh!

I used Liquid Glass Pre-Cleaner and was very pleased with the ease and speed it took to clean up our car. I had dried asphalt goo stuck to the inside wheel rims and wheel wells on a white car. The Liquid Glass dissolved it almost instantly and polished off fast. And it doesn't turn white on black plastic.
Autozone or Pep Boys usually has it.

I would think tar in any large ammounts could also be froze off, by means of using some kind of gum remover, i have it at work, its fun stuff, freezes well.

road tar
I know this sounds bizarre.....but it was on the tv the other night. They said if you put peanut butter, yes peanut butter, on the road tar it will get it off and it won't disturb the paint.

I use peanut butter for a few of the detailing jobs on a car. Really works well to remove the white residue on black plastic parts.
