Default New Mod

I decided I wanted to silver the "Pontiac" on the tail light to make it stand out from the darkness on the rest of it. It was a PITA for sure, I took a long long time to mask it carefully, but I'm fairly pleased with the way it came out. Not perfect but pretty good for a do it yourself 3 hour job.

masking didn't take 3 hours, thats from removing the light assembly to putting it back on with drying time, etc. I probably took an hour on masking. How the heck did you do yours in 10 minutes!?

Looks good but vinyl inlay would have taken 10 minutes and you wouldn't of had to remove it lol

Well, I looked all over and there aren't vinyl inlays anywhere that I could find. I found a discussion of them on the board but never any evidence that they were made. Also, the lettering is textured which makes me think that vinyl wouldn't look good over it.

I have a paint marker and tried that first, but I found that it looked crappy and was going to be pretty hard to get close enough to the edge of the lettering without going over.

i am thinking about doing the same mod, I was going to use the Scratch N Fix because it has the small brush and the pen part. We'll see when I get around to it.
