le sabre bonneville interior swap questions

ok, so i'm hopefully picking up my '95 lesabre tommorow morning. the thing is this car has the most gawd aweful ugly interior that i have ever friggin seen. absolutly terrible.

it has the full power leather 60/40 bench seats in the front and i want them gone. the same guy i'm getting these from has a bonneville thats for parts. i'm hoping to steal the seats from that car and swap them into the bonnie. the thing is i'd like to keep the power.

do the seats swap between models, can i swap the power seat rails onto the bonnie cloth seats or do i have to find buick seats to replace my couch?

the seats of the Saber will unbolt, and you can directly bolt in the Bonneville seats

Physically, they will work.

But in the looks department...hmm....aside from being the same color, it still won't look right. The stiching and patterns are completely different (are you going to change the rear seat as well?). Also, keep in mind LeSabres to my knowledge NEVER came with a center console option. If you put buckets in there, you are going to have one helluva gap between the seats.

I am highly offended by these remarks

i'd love to have buckets, i'd probably modify a console out of something else to fit... i hate the couch.

what are you guys all peeved about. the crappy padded leather looks like wal-mart seat cushions for your dining room chairs. friggin aweful. i've seen the cloth and thye aren't bad, but the leather sucks. looks like this, except worse.

how can you defend that? just terrible.

Nah, we aint knocking the comfort level. I know they suck in that department. But if you are going to swap the seats, go all the way and modify a console to go in there.

If you do the swap..aim for the 6 way power seats. That way the controls are located on the seat, not in the console.

You should have seen Badnit's 60/40 couch.. that puppy was overdue for replacement 100,000 miles ago. I don't think he's slept in his bed since upgrading his seats. In his case though..it was a matter of worn out.

I thought you were dissin' the split bench

I forgot the older LeSabre seats looked like that...I can imagine how much gum and sour milk I'd find under the edges of those "pads" after a long trip with the kids.

What about swapping in newer, more "stylish" LeSabre split bench seats, like the ones in my 98:
