Repairing a cracked fender

I was wondering what would you use to repair a crack in your fender? Fiberglass filler?

BillBoost37 is a glorious beacon of light

While not a body professioal... it seems to me that you would want to remove the fender and fiberglass on the inside, repair the crack on the outside with some filler then prep and paint.
