does anybody know of a good way to get ciarette scars out of ash trays

Its really not worth the effort. Just get a replacement insert.

If it'* burned in or melted in, give it up. Otherwise, I soaked mine in glass cleaner overnight (for sticky stuff) and then ran it through the dishwasher, with the hottest water possible.

good idea. i have heard that if u use the ashtrays in a car it makes the value go down is this true

Im proud to say my Bonneville Born November 1992, has never been smoked in, all the ashtrays are stain free, the covers are stain free, not a single burn, i love it!

Any car that'* been smoked in goes down in value because of the smell, the color change, the deposits, and stuff like you mentioned in the ash tray.
