I think it'll look HOT if it was painted body color, I'm considering that because I have a light color car and I have tons of rock chips and it's showing.

I agree, that would be awesome. Unfortunately you would have to get them to make a clear one so you could paint the backside. I thought about this too.

I assumed that I could scuff up the front and prime it then paint it and scuff the back then prime then paint then clearcoat it. Am I mistaken?

You want bare plastic up front to absorb the rock impacts. Not paint. That's why you paint the back side of a clear one. Nicks and dings buff out of the raw unpainted plastic without upsetting the color or just moving your chips to a different piece.

Yeah but if I paint it body color then I can easily touch it up, oh whatever, you're probably right. :lol:
