HID lights in my '92 Bonnie HELP

I'm kinda confused about HID and how to install then. I know HID are blueish and really bright, and projectors even out the light. I'm looking to just put an HID kit in my car.

I read that you can only use HID bulbs in low beams and fog lights. NO HIGH BEAMS. Is that correct?
Now I hear that HID bulbs melt stuff and ruin stock harnesses. Is that correct? How do I get past this?
Are HID fog lights much brighter than the regular bulbs?

How would I wire up HID bulbs for my fog lamps and low beams?

To answer your questions:
Q: I read that you can only use HID bulbs in low beams and fog lights. NO HIGH BEAMS. Is that correct?
A: Correct, HID's take 15 - 30 seconds to warm up and can't do a pass to flash feature. The 35w HID's are boutput more than your brights.

Q:Now I hear that HID bulbs melt stuff and ruin stock harnesses. Is that correct? How do I get past this?
A: I believe DDM Tuning offers the a new harness you can get to handle the higher voltage, which gives off more heat

Q: Are HID fog lights much brighter than the regular bulbs?
A: The HID's actually are less wattage (i.e 35w vs. 55w) but have a higher Lumen output, inturn they are brighter

Q: How would I wire up HID bulbs for my fog lamps and low beams?
A: HID's use a ballast that hooks in-line between your factory wiring and the headlight

As far as the bluish light, that is based on the temperature output. 4700k is what the factroy lights are, 6000k puts out the most usable light, 8000k is as high as I would go. Anything higher and you start to lose light output and the light output changes and draws unwanted attention from police

Hope this helps

Thanks for the help! It helped me a lot! Should I get 6K or 8K, do you think?

And what would happen if I put in HID bulbs into my harness? What's the cheapest way to get HIDs into my Bonnie?

I used these babies

I put the 35w 6K Raptors in the Fogs and the 55w 6K 9006 for the low beams.

I also used the wiring harness. One for the fogs and one for the 9005. The harness direct connects to the battery and the relay is controlled through your normal switches and wiring harness.

I installed them today. Took about 3 hours total.
