One of the first things I am looking to do is an HID conversion on my bonnie.. What are the bulb kits I would need for the Low Beam, High Beam (If I need them), and the Fog lights? I just dont want to spend non necessary money.. And what are some online shops some of you users have used for them too?.. I am looking to get either 6000k at the least or 8000k at the most.. Just some quick info would be nice, which I have always got here

the lows are 9006 the highs are 9005 and the fogs are 880'* and don't go anyhigher than 8000K beyond that you loose light and they are just annoying colors

I wouldn't reccomend HIDs in the high beams because they take 30-60 seconds to warm up and don't like to be flashed, having a halogen in the high beam also creates a lot brighter light combined with the HID because it is very yellow light, why do you think Acura keeps it that way?

Get low beams and fogs... high beams are a waste being like mentioned above, they take a while to heat up when you switch them on, and switching them on and off in traffic is not good for them.

Stick with 6000k it is perfect.. anything more than that gets too blue..(in my opinion of course)

This is 6000k in TINTED headlights and foglights.. once fully heated up on for about 15 seconds they look almost white in person, with a hint of blue as you can see in the pics.. and produce a nice almost florescent looking white(with hint of blue) light on the road.. NO yellow and no excess blue.



DDM tuning sells the kits cheap..and if you order your fogs and lows at the same time you will basically get free shipping on one of the kits

Installing the kit is as easy as changing a bulb.. a matter of minutes to install each one.. it is that simple. I can take pictures of how mine are installed (where the ballasts are mounted on mine to save you another 10 minutes)

Get the following:

Wattage: 35W ( 55w produces too much heat to feel safe in our housings, ESPECIALLY the fogs, so stick with the 35w)
Bulb type : 9006 (low beams) and 880 (fogs)
Bulb color: 6000k

I always preferred yellow light for fogs because of the low reflectivity and the contrasting....

IMO anything over 4200 K is too blue, but I do a lot of driving out in the country where there aren't city lights, so all the extra blue tires my eyes out and makes it harder to see deer on the side of the road or anything like that.

I guess it must depend on the brand of HID'* you use, because my 6000k has no blue to it on the road..it is pure white. (however my G/F'* kit I just put in her Sonata that is 6000k is definately much more blue which is a DDM kit) I also put a 5000k kit in my moms car a few years ago and that was a tad yellow even..which is the same companies 6000k kit I have in my bonneville..

so like I said it must depend on the company.. I would go with 5000k with DDM.. as I am guessing that is closer to what my 6000k of my brand is.

You can disable the DRL'* by pulling the DRL relay. (It'* in the engine fuse box on the 2k+)
