Does anybody know where i can find that clay stuff to get the dirt off of my car? I've heard it gets the stuff washing, and waxing doesnt get, so i wanna try it out on my new ride. If anybody can help, thanks

go to advance auto, pep boys, wal mart...w/e and pick up a clay bar.

Its pretty easy, the process has been discussed many times on the forum do a search for it.

Clay bar.

You should be able to get it at a local parts supply store, like NAPA, AutoZone, or Advance Auto Parts. Companies like Mother'* and MacGuires make it.

In the unlikely event that you have no luck there, contact a good body shop, one that does primo paint jobs. They should have it and may be willing to sell you some.

Either the Clay Magic or the Mothers Clay Bar Kits work well.

Wash your car then clay bar.

Tips:
Cut the clay bar into 4 pieces and use one piece at a time.

If you drop a piece on the ground throw it away. You have now contaminated the bar with sand and dirt from the ground.

Use plenty of lubricant, comes in the kit, to keep the car surface wet. If you run out you can make your own with distilled water and car wash solution. The ratio is 1/8 car wash and 7/8 distilled water.

Do not rub the clay to the car surface with a lot of force. You will feel the clay pick up the contaminants from the surface and once that happens the clay will glide over the surface.

Use the baggie test. Prior to claying the car put your hand in a new baggie and run it over the car surface. You will feel the grit and dirt. After claying and drying do the test again and feel the difference.

Once you finish the painted surface use the claybar to do your wheels. You will be surprised at the results.

Once the car is finished wash and dry your car. Your car is now ready for polishing, waxing or sealing.

Claying a car does make a difference.

Thanks, the car has been sitting in basically the woods for a while. Im pretty sure the clay bar would be better than payin a bunch of money for it to get detailed and washed. Got any tips on rim and tire cleaners???

Eagle 1 tire and wheel cleaner. Use the clay bar on the wheels it works wonders.

there are others on this forum that use other products that work just as well.

use the clay bar on everything, paint, glass, rims, plastic molding, head lights, tail lights. I even do my liscense plate.

i have my clay bar kit but it has been forever since i have used it, i really need to do mine and moms car then have them waxed but who ever has the time hehe but yes it does do a fantastic job, ur car feels like glass when u are done
