Default Cleaning/degreasing the engine.

Just wondering exactly what parts i need to cover up on the engine so they dont get wet, obviously the fuse box, anything else?

Alternator, coils, etc. Just don't spray electronics with water. A little splash is OK. Paper towels and simple green does a great job.

I'm a bit of a rebel.

If your wires etc are in good shape as they should be. I spray the engine with cleaner and hose it off while it'* running. Only things I am careful about is overly cold water on the exhaust if it'* up to temp and not spraying the alternator directly.

You'll learn about spraying the belt ...it'll only take one time..lol
