Are they bare or clear coated? There are several good aluminum polishes out there you can use. If you have brake dust on the wheels, find a wheel cleaner that is safe for aluminum. After that just use a good sealant or durable wax on the rims. That will keep the brake dust from sticking, and you shouldn't even need a wheel cleaner, just car wash soap. Use a microfiber towel to buff and dry them so they don't get scratched.

Eagle One, Mothers, and Meguires are the top cleaners you will see on the shelves. If you have bare aluminum (not cleared or painted), STAY AWAY FROM THE ALUMINUM WASH that Eagle One has, unless you like the washed-out look of aluminum as opposed to the polished. It WILL take the shine out, and will be very hard to get back. It'* an etching cleaner, and is meant for magnesium alloy rims (think 70'* and early 80'* Cragars).
Meguires Hot Rims all-wheel cleaner works very well on all finishes. Follow up with Zaino Wheel Wax and you will have a finish that will last a long time.
