First car wash of 04

My bonny finally got her first hand wash of the year today. It was utterly disgusting. The crust on the back literally needed scubbing, a combination of dust, salt, and oil leakage (you should see my right rear wheel well). My chromies used up half a bottle of chrome cleaner, and their still not perfect, but I can see my reflection again. It makes me happier. :D

Yeah, I hear you. My vehicle has been filthy & cruddy all winter. It's kind of nice to see what it really looks like again after a good hand wash. 8)

That's what the Touchless drive through washes at the gas station are for, folks. Well worth the extra 7 bucks to get at least the worst of it off.

Can't wait til the backyard thaws out so I can give mine a good wash, tho...

You and me both. Going up to 54deg today.

Did you see Mythbusters or (whatever it's called-those guys are hilarious but nutz) last week when they were testing whether Coca Cola really does all the stuff people claim it does?....of everything they tried, using Coke to clean chrome was the only one they thought worked well for sure...

Oh scary!! I wouldn't ever put Coke on my rims....I pretty much don't trust anything but water. Maybe I'm just overprotective of my chromies.

The scariest part was that I think they were doing the cleaning with tinfoil...but I'm not absolutely certain. It did seem to work pretty well. They seemed really surprised (.they were using a salvage vehicle because nobody dared to try it on their own car) :D...but I'd still be reluctant to try it myself...oops...sorta off topic

I tried those a few times on the last month. The combination of oil in the crud made it stick. Couldn't even read my license after the automatic wash.

What a concept, I've never seen one of those. Yeah, I drive through those from time to time during the winter months.

I cleaned her the 29th

Mine was pretty easy, a simply rinse and the wax from last year showed right up.
