Factory Pinstripe From Hell

Im looking for an easy way to remove the factory pinstripe from a 1987 Pontiac Bonneville Le. I have tried to scrape off but seem to have an indent where it used to be. Any suggestions?

I have to agree, the eraser is the best product that i ever purchased. You can use a heat gun or a good hot hair dryer but, the eraser is alot faster. Just put it on your drill and it's gone in no time flat. After it's gone i cleaned it all up with a bug and tar remover then i polished & waxed it. You can never even tell there was a pin stripe there. Good luck with the removal.

That indent might be wax build up over the years, Have not used the eraser but it looks like a good idea.

I've never heard of the eraser bit, but looks okay. Also, you have to remember, that the paint is 17 years old. Some rubbing compound and wax will also help a great deal once the stripe is pulled off.

It could be PDad.....I found out about this handy device after I removed my striping...
I used a car buffer and polished compound...
I may grab one of those eraser bits to see if the indent goes away.

A buddy of mine swears by them....they remove decals and stripes from vehicles all the time with them...and it doesn't harm the paint..
