Default Help needed - Nail polish on dashboard

A friend of mine left a nail polish bottle in her car....and well guess what...
it went boom.

She has dried nail polish on the dash board....

I am looking for some answers as to what to use and NOT harm the dashboard..

so basically look for someone that has maybe had a real time experience...
Im not looking for" try this try that"....don't want to try something has no one has done safely.

Thanks guys/gals!

cant even imagine how that happend, but my only input is...

go to a junk yard and find a similar dash...put some polish on, wait the night, and come back the next day and try everything you got

I think the paint can guy was **** out of luck..... oh well.. he could probably afford the new interior.

Onto your problem.....

Try some nail polish remover on a small section of the dash (out of view)... see if it ruins it....if not.. try it on the dash.

Or... try some of that "Goo-Gone".... works really well on the carpet and cloth seats for removing grease/gum/etc ... might work on the dash....

First, scrape what you can off (need I stress, do this carefully?). Then, for the remainder, anything with Naptha in it, such as Goof-Off or Zippo Lighter fluid, will remove the rest. Naptha is a good cleaner that evaporates quickly, helping to prevent/minimize damage. The "Try it in a non-visible spot" disclaimer still applies, tho.
