Meshed Lower Grille on my 2000 SE
I've been wanting to do this for a while. I believe I saw one other member on here that did it a long time ago. It'* difficult to get the mesh to fit but with the help of a friend, we were able to 'shove' them up in there. My friend also came up with the idea of using a piece of 24" thin aluminum he had to bolt to the license plate studs to keep the mesh pushed forward towards the grille area. Worked like a charm. Without some sort of support, the grills tend to sag away from the grille area.
Drilling holes in the aluminum bar to line up with the license plate holes.
View of the back of the bumper cover with right lower grille and support bar in place.
Finished product as taken this morning in my office parking garage. I need to take some pics of it out in the sun where it shows up better.

Thanks. As I've said many times on other posts, the SE is not my favorite front-end. Obviously the SLE'* and SSEi'* are going to look sportier but I'm making do with what I've got!
It was a lot of fun too. I think this was project #7 or #8 since I've owned it. I'd like to buy another one just to do them all over again.
