hmm... hey man did you think about like, masking tape or something to hold the mud flaps up for a mock-up and to mark where holes are to be on there in sharpie or something? or would that not work. . . you think it would by chance?

it might work!

also have a ruler present to set on end with the mudflap when you're positioning it with tape for mock-up so you can figure out the height you're gonna set 'em at.

PS how much did they cost? Are they plastic pre-shaped/molded or are they rubber/vinyl/etc?

I have them on my car because of all teh gravel roads I travel on. The oem mudflaps have a "raised area that makes them pretty easy to line up. Thery also come with self tapping screws but after mashing my finger I used a small drill bit to make a pilot hole first~ much easier after that.helps to have 4 hands, I.E. another person to help. Just leave enuff of the raised section out from fender and below to suit your taste and do the same all the way around. ( I put the raised section 3/4'* of an inch out and down)

I was a little dissapointed when I got them, they seemed a little cheap for OEM from GM. The ones I bought for the LaCrosse had premolded insets to fit the body, were much thicker and no guess work as to where to pit them. I had bought the window rain guards as well and threw them in the trash after putting one on ( they are held two way tape if you can believe that), and yanked it right back off after seeing how cheap they looked.

i got them on my 97. All you need to do is find out where the screws are for you actual trim. Use the existing holes for the splash guard in the fenderwell. And use the longer screws that came with the flaps. The tape idea sounds good to line them up, but you shouldn't have to drill any holes...Mine are really good. I love them.
