how to take off??
Hey guys I was wondering what can I use to take off my VHT on my tails? I don't like how they came out, so I finally have a chance to clear them and re-try hopefully soon.
I didn't know if Paint Thinner would work or really be ok to use on the lights. But what would you guys recommend?
Thanks

mine did come out shiny without clear coating them....the technique I used was light coats with a really distant spray, letting it dry and then adding more....it may be partly due to different plastics too since you have SE tails. I have done new chargers the same way I have done mine and they have come out with the flat finish, because of the plastic they use on the tails.

Well a little update for you guys, I took my tail lights off my car and the center peice and first got some Turpentine and put a LITTLE bit on a paper towel and just went over the tail lights and center peice with it. I then sanded it with a 1000grit I believe sand paper. While doing this at some spots ( mostly were there was a line were you say the difference of my tint to what the light looked like ) it became a goo so I rubbed that off it. I then taped up every clear peice on my tail lights and center. ( basicually everything besides break since there cleared ) Now I am going have to say I did a damn good tape job and I wish I took a picture to show you guys cause I thought it was perfect, took forever but oh well. After that I then applied 2-3 coats on the tail lights and center peice. KEEP IN MIND THE PREVIOUS VHT WERE STILL ON THIS SO I ADVICE NOT TO PUT MORE THE 2-3 COATS ON THE BRAKE LIGHTS. After the 2-3 coats added, I then applied 3 coats to the higher parts that weren't touched on the previous tint job. The finally 3 coats of clear and TA-DA! PERFECT! nice and shinny how there were suppose to. And I even fixed a slight light issue on one light by sanded it a little bit. I will post pics of it tomarrow after class since its 12:26 right now and way to dark to even see it!
