Default Wax Remover

What are some of my options for removing wax from a car?

I've purchased "Liquid Glass" and it requries all the wax to be removed before applying it. Once it hardens, it'* safe to wax.

Any ideas?

I've heard of Dawn dishwashing soap.... what about Mothers Phase 1 "Pre-Wax Cleaner"... I've got tons of that in the garage.... what about also using the "Sealer & Glazer" (Phase 2) and then Liquid Glass?

So Ultra Dawn eh?

After Dawn should I use the Mothers Phase 1 "Pre-Wax Cleaner" and Phase 2 "Sealer & Glaze" before applying the "Liquid Glass"?

Anyone who'* actually used Liquid Glass wanna chime in?

Are you applying by hand or machine?

After the dawn wash I would claybar then polish the surface. If by hand then the Mothers Phase 1 would be the next step. The Mothers product is a very good light polishing product. Next step would be to wash with quality car wash soap and dry the car. The last step would be Liquid Glass.

If you have a machine the applying of the Mothers Phase 1 would be easier and less time consuming. A machine also opens up alternatives for other polishes at additional cost. Since you want to use up what you currently have on hand I would stay with the Mothers Phase 1.

Hope this answers your questions.

Anything you can use (claybar, paint cleaner, etc) will be great. Do NOT apply a sealer or any other product that will stay on or bond with the paint under the LG.

Do not use an orbital buffer on the LG either. There are specific buffing instructions on the can.

I went ahead and bought the LG PreCleaner (it was right next to the Liquid Glass, so why not?). I did a dish soap wash (don't forget the windows), LG Pre-Cleaner, then went to town....
