Stripping paint from polyurethane bumper cover
I have a polyurethane bumper that needs to be stripped, repaired and repainted.
What chemicals could be used to strip the paint and not damage the polyurethane?
any tips/processes/products recommended to repair a crack in the bumper?

I am in the process of repairing a bumper and sanded the paint off. While it'* not ideal..if you only have a few spots that may be the best or use some brake cleaner in the spots you need paint removal.

the existing paint on the bumper is pretty thick and cracking/flaking off in large pieces, it is definately going to have to be fully stripped before prime/paint

This stuff work really well, at least it did on my rims. I am not sure on how corrosive it is so you may want to read the label first.

bump back up to the top....
any other suggestions?
my problem is that the bumper cover was never prepped properly, so much of the paint is chipping off... i need to get it as clean as possible in order to get it prepped for paint
