K... im really good with my camera *phone* lol so you cant hardly tell in the pics in my album but my trunk decklid, roof is starting, but its getting that white filmy stuff in a circular area where the clearcoat comes off and it looks horrible... you kno what im talking about all old cars get it when left outside a garage too long... gonna wax and beautify the paint this weekend... gonna be in the 60s... good enough... lol anything i can do other than sand it to primer and repaint and clearcoat car??? chemicles to use, compounds, buffing, what? took the red rubbing compound and a buffer, it got rid of some of it... tried wet sanding but it didnt help either... should i keep with the compound or am i just wasting it?

also gonna take pics of it and the *eekkk* rust holed spot by the pass rear tire... from being in tulsa for most its life... they get snow and salt damage... wanting to fix but i need to know what to do... its the only spot and i hate it

Light Compound and buffer is really the roughest you can go and hope to bring the finish back. Time, alot of elbow effort and watching closely whats coming off. Clay barring afterwards will help. And though I wouldn't use them on my paint, a good polymer wax like Liquid Glass might help after your done. But with all that, a "good luck" is in order. The type of "clear coats" used by dealers and aftermarket vendors are evil. And the effects your describing eventual across the board. And no real fix possible.

ya i kno... ive been trying to get it gone for a while and cant get anything to break it WITHOUT breaking the paint... my girlfriend accidentally wet sanded a lil to much and some of the dark primer is bleeding thru on the paint in one spot lol... thats what i get for letting a girl do it... but she tried helping... then cryed when she went to far... o well ... ill prolly just have the whole car repainted next time some jackass pulls out in front of me... hehe til then lots of wax and buffing...

still gonna post pics after lunch... the ugly spot where rust has eaten its way out NEEDS to be gotten rid of but i dont know how to go about it... ill prolly bondo after i get it back to metal but youll just have to see what im dealing with and where it at... i might need to just knotch out the whole spot and weld in new metal in place then repaint the whole car HAHA
