Default How do i get the cleaners off the engine?

I bribed my uncle and used his garage to clea my rngine some but, after i got everything clean with a toothbrush and simple green, i rinsed it with a spraybottle of water, now how do i get the water out of the divets in the engine? and what can i use to clean up the coils?

Use a damp rag on the coils. As little water as possible. You'll have to 'steam' off the water sitting on the lower intake, or absorb it with a towel. If you have an air compressor, that would be best.

Um... is it normal for an engine cleaning to use a full 2 liter bottle of simple green?

(i'm using paper towels and running the engine to heat it up)

Must have been extra dirty to need that much cleaner. You wont need more than a fine misting now and then to keep it clean.

i did mine awhile back, when I was done I rinsed it off and pulled it back into the garage, nothing special.
