ok this is a trick one
the clear is coming off around the emblem glue and some one and so forth??
any ideas??
and no laquer thinner will make it worse cuz the paint is not the original

ok the SSE emblem on my driver door fell off and there is still the glue on the door but i also see the clear is coming off when i
damn it time for picks

If you are trying to remove the glue from the double sided tape take a blow dryer and heat the glue up a little. It should soften up and you should be able to roll it up in a ball and remove it that way. Similar to rolling up dried rubber cement.

You can also try a claybar to remove the glue.

To remove mine I used a product called "Label and sticker remover" from a hardware store.
Spray a little let it sit for a minute then use dental floss between the emblem and car and cut it off. Spray a rag and wipe up the excess glue.

Afterwards you might want to use some 3M buffing compound to get any left over off. I used the heat gun on my Monte Carlo and then the compound and you couldn't see anything.
