Default Need GXP part #

My trunk lid center reflector has been collecting rain water since I cleared the yellow out. I don't feel like calking everything again. Does anyone know the part number for the trunk reflector center piece for the GXP?

Applique, Lid (Reflex) 5978249

Best I can tell, that'* it. Verify before purchase, though.

Also, it looks to be an expensive item, so you may want to reconsider a nice clear silicone caulk job.

I'll confirm that number as the reflector assembly that covers the entire lower half of the trunk lid below the spoiler, between the taillights. It is the same part number for all models 2000-2005, and remained unchanged.

That may be, but not according to the GM dealer parts lists. Personally, I couldn't tell you.

That'* why we always mention to verify with a dealer first.

parts list is wrong if the same part number is listed for both GXP, and non-GXP models.

Toasty, check the 2000-2005 update I gave the Gearheads. You'll see what I'm talking about.

The tails and spoiler are shown as different, but not that center piece.

Parts for comparison:

Trunk lid is the same for GXP, SSEi, and SLE, but not for SE UNLESS it has a spoiler.

In the 2000-2005 magic book, #11 is the Applique, Lid (Reflex). It is listed as compatible with all models/trims for 2000-2005. (not differentiated in any way) This is on page 565.

Part number 5978249 is also called out on page 778 of the 2000-2002 section of the Magic Book as the same number, same listing, etc.

Can someone post a couple rear-end shots of the SE/SLE/SSEi and GXP in this topic?
