Door Dent
was wondering how to get a door dent out with out having to remove the door panel?
I've seen those things advertised on TV that pop it out, but not sure what they are called or where to get them, or if they work. Any suggestions?

Here'* how they work, You super glue basically a rubber dart to the side of the car. Then you rip it off. If the dent hasn't been there very long, It'll pop out. The longer the dent is there, and the more extreme the dent is the more the steel will stretch. And you can't unstretch steel. I've never had a reason to use one, But they look like a good idea if you're confident your paint is on tight

I do know some body shops around here, and actually up in Canada (I'm sure there are several around the country) that charge $75 to take out a dent. They have special tools they use that don't require taking off the panels. One I was told about in Canada charges $75 to start, and $50 for each dent. Not too bad if you have just a couple dings. I'd do some research around your area and see if some bodyshops have that kind of service.
Or you can try those things advertised on TV and hope they work. If they do work (or DON'T work) let us know

I know the pro'* use the stud things, which fuse to the panels, then there is this puller, which then you physically pull out the dent. They work wonders, except the fact you need to re-paint using that method.

Canadian Tire has this one, think i'll give it a try....i'll let you know how it works out.
Deb
EDIT: Think it would help to use a little wax where the dart attaches with the glue???

only thing I could see happening if you wax beforehand is if the plunger thing doesn't get enough grip, and you'd have to remove the wax and try again, I doubt this, but i'd do it if I were you, couldn't hurt.
