Calipers and drums... What color?
1 Attachment(s)
I want honest opinions. I am going to possibly purchase some 9 spoke rims for my Bonne (Don't laugh, I really like them) and I am planning painting my calipers and drums. What color should I paint them? Before you ask, Blue is totally out of the question, as most ricers in my area have theirs painted blue, along with nearly their whole damn cars. So what do you think? I am gonna be using the Duplicolor Caliper paint kit, so my color choices are Red, Yellow, Black Satin, and Silver. Here is a side pic of my car for reference -
Attachment 44673 ALSO if anyone likes my current rims more than the 9 spokes, tell me. |
Red calipers, black or silver drums.

Yeah, I definantly don't want the drums red, as IMO they look odd like that. If anything, the drums will be silver, and the fronts red, but I still want to hear opinions. :)

Ask yourself how much attention you want drawn to your car and brakes. If you want the main focus on the rims..paint them black. That way they aren't rusty looking and don't seem visible.
If you want a wow factor that takes away a little from the rim, especially since you will see them well through the 9 spoke.. go with one of the other colors and choose based on a theme or overall feeling of the car. |
May I suggest a light gray or silver to give the a clean look. I plan to do it to the riviera :D

black is the way of the wise, I have some chrome rims ofr sale very cheap with new tires, worth a try...

Red. Silver will blend with the rims.
Black drums too, since drums aren't as cool as rear discs! 8) |
Anything but black on drums is ridiculous..
