Projector Fog Lights - what all is needed?
Alright,
So I definitely dig the projector fog lamp idea, but it looks to me that it'* going to cost about $500.00. Am I thinking correctly? What all does it entail? I know there are tons of threads about this topic, but not really any prices. I can stand the custom modding, and I like what dllic did with the plumbing hardware. I would like to do something similar.
Where are some places I can go to get this light kit, and what kind of price am I looking at? I see there'* a lot of different opinions on brands/light temperature, so on and so forth. So I'm just looking at a basic idea to add some jazz to the lights, and help see at night. I don't need colors, bright white is fine, but if it is a must, it'd be blue. Thanks!

if you are willing to spend a little more so you dont have to do any appearance mods then you can look into Hella'* 90mm modules which are projectors enclosed in a case

I would like to do the diamond blue projectors but I do believe I have seen those things slightly cheaper. I have heard there is a 'cutoff' mod where you can make the edge of the projected light blue. That seems pretty sweet... I want to do a search and look into that.

I think those are the same style as my Blazers. All you do is take out the bulb, stick in a long screw driver so it'* on top of the shield, and gently but firmly press down (perpendicular to the direction the light travels) on the shield. You'll only move it a tiny fraction of an inch to get the results.
The color only appears in a small band. If you move your viewpoint lower, you see regular halogen; if you move higher you see regular color halogen that looks dim since you're not looking into the direct light (due to the cutoff of course ).

yes you can color mod them.
Which involves taking a large flat head screwdriver and moving the cut off shield slightly. I did it to mine.
mmmm....sexy color band

Any ideas for ones that would work with HID'*? I got some for my hella'* but there is no way I can pass someone with them on without getting shot.
I just put them in like 2 hours ago.
Would ones not meant for HID'* work?
