Clear Corners Question
Hey Guys--
Considering clearing the corners on my white 2000 SE. Is the turn signal still effective after removal of the amber plastic pieces? In other words, can other drivers still easily see that your turn signals are on? Not worried about nightime but didn't know if they were hard to see in the daylight without the amber piece installed.
Secondly, does anyone think a white car is a good candidate for this as far as looks are concerned? Didn't know if some colors looked better than others with the corners cleared. I have a feeling it would look pretty sharp.
I've seen a couple of silver Bonnevilles on here that looked fantastic.
--Thanks.
Mark

Well for one, white looks slick as hell with clear corners.....mmm and tint...:P
As far as other drivers being able to see them, I can't say for sure. I have aftermarket clear corners on mine, and they are still good, but they also have the light diffuser on them. Yours, obviously, wouldn't.
There are many people here with 2000+* and clear corners, they'll be able to help you out.

Good. I'm thinking it would look pretty sweet myself. I've never been really hot on the rice burners with the cleared out lenses but on the Bonneville it looks extremely classy in my opinion.
...and sorry about the identical post. My finger must have slipped!

if you use a standard white bulb, it can be hard to see in direct sunlight. myself, and many other users would recomend using siverstar turnsignal bulbs

I didn't know how mine would look on my car, but as soon as I did it. It is amazing how much better the lights look with out it. As long as its amber when it is lit up you won't have a problem with it been visible. In fact I did one side and then did the other side 4 days later and my friend who was driving in front of me said the turn signal with out the amber lense was a lot brighter the the one without the lense with the bulb lit up.

Use the amber bulbs to ensure visibility and to avoid breaking a law (not sure if all states require it....) Many use the Silverstar 3157A'*...me included.
IMO...cleared corners look better period...regardless of the car color.
