Default My crazy idea (HUD swap)

I was wondering if anyone has tried swapping an HUD from a 2004+ GP into a Bonnie. I've been thinking about it, because there'* a 2004 GTP at my u-pull it I go to with the HUD and PCM all in tact. How possible is this swap? How much fabrication has to go into it? I'm willing to put as much time and/or money into it as necessary

Sounds somewhat simple.

Just confirm that the sensors would link. Find the input ranges of the HUD and the output range of your PCM.

What is so appealing about the 04GTP HUD? More features/options? :?

Doesn't sound worth it to me...

But if there'* a will, they're is a way...

they have radio station and maybe climate control on them.

Personally, I have a 98 GP HUD here with the radio functions in it, and the unit itself is an odd shape and like double the size of the 93 and 97 HUDs I have here.

You should be able to get the features available on a 92-99 bonne hud working easily.

The radio needs a data input that you don't have.

Hmm, this is definetly and option. The reason I ask is because the GPs HUD is MUCH nicer than the Bonnies'. I'm gonna give them a call and see what they'll take for it; might make a good weekend project

X2 and you realize that when you install an aftermarket system you loose the Radio, and such on the HUD....

He won't need to install an aftermarket system for that.. with his current car..there isn't a good data stream.

Or are we talking another car?
