Default What paint to use for wheels

The paint on my wheels is flaking a bit ina few areas, what paint should I use to paint them? Any particular brand or type? any other steps I should perform like should I prime them or sand them down?

They are ghetto golds that were painted by the previous owner who did not like gold wheels.

I have seen wheel paint at parts stores. I would obviously check that first.

powder coating is popular on wheels..apparently it holds up much better

If not powdercoating, definitely check for wheel paint and their colors. If you don't use "wheel paint," as long as you prep the surface, put enough coats on, and enough clear coat over it, it should still hold up fairly well I would bet.

you got a good point. I want either white or chrome t-stars but they are both damn hard to come by. I dont like spoked rims but they would look better with a good paint job.
