Default Longest lasting wax/sealer?

Now that I'm married and have a house and yard to take care of, I don't get around to waxing my cars nearly as often as I did back when I was a single man. Also, it'* a nearly impossible to wax a car in the winter up here, since my garage isn't heated.

So I'm looking for something that will protect my paint for the longest time possible. I care more about paint preservation than shine, but if I can get the best of both worlds, that'* good too. Cost is also a factor (see above comment about being married with a house and yard to take care of).

I was reading back through the old topics, and I see that Liquid Glass is loved by many members of this board, but is there anything better for me, considering my needs and priorities?

Thanks in advance for your feedback...

You already found it. Liquid Glass. Goes on nice and fast, too. Much quicker and easier than any waxx you'll find....

What about that Nu-Finish, once a year stuff? Does it actually last a year?

How long does the Liquid Glass last between applications?

Liquid glass is okay, but for a longer lasting finish, I use Nu-finish paste waxs for long term applications.

My experience with Nu-finish is that it'* been one of the shortest-life waxes I've used. Liquid Glass has been the best. Some differing opinions may be affected by environment or climate.

I can vouch for liquid glass, i apply it every six months, use the precleaner first, works like a charm, i had it fresh on when i went to Oregon this summer. worth the money.

meg'* paste wax, gold class. I use a buffer, and it stands out wonderfully, and lasts a long time.

Im a firm believer of a good buff wax job before and after winter snows.

then you can use the spray on waxes.

I have no doubt that meguiars gold class is good stuff, but my experience is that a regular paste wax just won't last as long as I need it to.

I can vouch for liquid glass, i apply it every six months, use the precleaner first, works like a charm, i had it fresh on when i went to Oregon this summer. worth the money.
Now that'* what I'm talking about! 6-months of protection, instead of 30 days. I just may try that Liquid Glass, since so many people here are sold on it. Sadly, I just waxed the hood, so I'll need to undo that before I can apply the new.

Who has the lowest price on that stuff? Autozone?
