Just enough of a difference to make the Rora Headrests Tilt. the Bonneville Foam can be reused with the Tilting mechanasim, because its actually cut out for the Tilting insert.

here are some pics for a reference

It was one of the best mods I did to mine too! If I get an 03 I will definitely being doing that.

was nice on the '93 when I did it, but they didn't stay put long.. I think how the dealer put the seats back together didn't help either.

The GTI (albeit a new car) does stay forward. Then again, mine are active headrests for stopping whip lash in a rear-ender... I wish the older AL7 ones had a way to lock them forward, and at a paticular height as well, mine always came down after a journey or two. It was definetly a nice upgrade for the SE/some SSE owners.

Nice work!

I'm not even sure if my headrests go up and down. (I know they do). Even when I had a car with tilting headrests, I never used 'em. I guess I recline too much
