92-95 AL7 seat bottom compatibility
Which seat bottoms are compatible with the AL7 on the driver's side? I'm noticing one of my leather cracks just started turning into a tear.
|
I want to say that the seat bottoms are the same as the non-AL7s with the exception of the cutout for the power switches on the bottom. I was told that the left-right seat bottoms wouldn't work either BUT the only difference in the left and right bottoms is the strap for the seatbelt buckle, which I can live without.
The only huge difference between the 2 trims is the upper seatback, for all the lumbar and wing adjustments. IMO, the other smaller differences are mute in comparison to having an all new interior stitched up. |
all non-al7 will have cutouts, whether they are power or manual (for the recline lever at minimum) so only AL7 covers will give you an exact match.

Will a Passenger side bottom work?
|
The seatbelt loop/strap would be on the wrong side if you got a passenger side one.
|
passenger AL7 will work like bill said, all others will have the issues I mentioned.
