Default 1957 Bonneville

I was out in Iola, Wisconsin friday for Old Cars/Krause publications annual Car Show and Swap Meet.
The car that got my attention the most was the 2nd 1957 Pontiac Bonneville that I have ever seen. Both being convertables. The one I saw In Iola was Fuel Injected from the factory. White with white top and red insert. Red and white leather interior. Talked to the owner for awhile. I told him I have had 5 Bonnevilles, but all 1992-newer. Then he said he also currently has a 1993 Bonneville SSEi in Green and Ghetto gold. I told him that was the same color 4 of mine have been. He said he really loves it. Before this car he never thought he'd own a high-mileage car, but it has 170,000 miles and has only had the transmission replaced (he works at a Pontiac dealer and got it @ cost and one of the mechanics put it in on a Saturday for $85). He said he never wants to get rid of it -in fact he almost likes more than the 1957, just the 57 is rarer and he'* had it for a while.

Anyway'*, I told him to check out BC website when he'* online sometime.

Just thought it was cool. BTW, my dad got some video with his digital camcorder. Will try and get it posted somewhere for you all to see the original production Bonneville.

As I was coming back from Costco this morning, I almost past by some vinatge Pontiacs. I turned around and stopped by a show sponsored by the Pontiac Oakland Club International held at the local Pontiac Dealer lot.

I didn't see a '57 Bonneville but I did see a tri-powered '58 Bonneville Convertible complete with thee original owner. He had a picture of himself standing next to his car when he bought it in 1958. I also saw a '57 Star Chief, '53 & '55 Chieftan, 2 heavily modified '62 Catalina'* built for the track, a mint '63 421cu. in. Grand Prix, a 1974(I think) Grandville Convertible, a few other Bonnevilles and Grand Prix'* of different years and numerous GTO'* of all ages. It was quite a gathering of vintage Pontiac sheetmetal. Check out their site for a show in your neck of the woods.
